Rooted in Faith is a mentorship and life-skills program by Joy’s Centre Outreach, created to support youth of African descent, ages 12 to 17, as they navigate life’s challenges. Grounded in the spirit of Ubuntu — “I am because we are” — the program offers a safe, inclusive, and faith-based space for young people to build confidence, heal, and grow together.
Through open conversations, mental health awareness, trauma-informed care, and practical life-skills workshops, Rooted in Faith helps youth embrace their cultural identity while finding belonging in their wider community.
By combining African cultural values with modern experiences, we equip the next generation to stand strong mentally, emotionally, and spiritually — ready to thrive in both worlds with pride and purpose.

Join the Rooted in Faith mentorship program — a safe, supportive space for youth of African descent to build confidence, explore identity, and grow in faith and community.

Rooted in Faith blends cultural pride, spiritual growth, and emotional well-being — helping young people discover who they are, what they believe, and how to live it out confidently in today’s world.

This program provides a space for open conversations, learning, and growth, equipping our youth to thrive mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
