With the Support, we are able to keep these children in class
Our Child Sponsorship Program enables individuals and organizations to provide direct, life-changing support to children in need. Through a $35 monthly sponsorship, supporters ensure that these children receive not only meals, clothing, and education but also a safe and nurturing environment that fosters hope and growth. JCC operates with minimal administrative costs, ensuring that the majority of funds directly benefit the children. By supporting a child, sponsors play a vital role in nourishing the body, mind, and spirit of Uganda’s youth.
The JCC Community Outreach Program focuses on sustainable empowerment for the broader community. We prioritize income-generating opportunities for elderly men, women, and youth, offering motivational training, material support, and links to markets and micro-finance institutions. These efforts aim to uplift individuals, helping them develop resilience and self-reliance. Our initiatives also include workshops and training sessions to teach valuable skills, promote entrepreneurship, and improve community health and hygiene.
Youth Empowerment: Over 300 youth trained in life skills, personal hygiene, entrepreneurship, and resilience. These skills not only equip them for a brighter future but also enable them to give back to their communities
Women’s Economic Development: 150 women have been empowered through training in beadwork, crafts, and soap-making. These skills enable them to start small businesses, supporting both their families and the local economy.
Youth Talent Promotion: We have facilitated market access for 130 young people, helping them showcase and sell their handmade crafts, as well as providing platforms for music, sports, and other talents.
Financial Literacy: Community members receive guidance on saving and credit management through partnerships with local savings and credit institutions, promoting financial independence and sustainability.
We introduce students to sustainable farming practices, equipping them with practical skills in crop cultivation, animal husbandry, and environmental conservation. By engaging students in hands-on farming activities, we encourage responsibility, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of sustainable food production, benefiting both the school and the wider community.
We educates children on gender roles, rights, and the importance of equal opportunities for both boys and girls. Through workshops and mentorship, we empower girls to pursue education confidently and encourage boys to become allies in gender equality. By fostering a culture of respect and empowerment, we help build a more just and inclusive society.
Promoting eco-friendly practices within the school and the surrounding community. These initiatives include tree planting, waste management, recycling programs, and clean energy solutions to create a greener and healthier environment.
provide support to girls by providing access to sanitary products, proper hygiene facilities, and education on menstrual health.
Many girls in Uganda miss school due to a lack of menstrual supplies and stigma surrounding menstruation. We empower girls to focus on their education and build confidence for a brighter future.
we seek to ensure children receive immediate medical care, reducing absenteeism caused by illness.
The sickbay will also serve the surrounding community, offering basic healthcare and first aid to those in need. This initiative will create a healthier learning environment and improve community well-being.
JCC now has 380 enrolled students, including 65 who are still seeking sponsorship. The school has consistently performed well in national exams, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence.
With the planting season underway, we anticipate a bountiful harvest of beans and corn. These crops supplement the school’s nutrition program, providing healthy meals to our students and, at times, to the wider community.
Our livestock (goats and cows) and banana plantation contribute to a balanced diet for the children. This focus on nutrition helps ensure that our students are well-fed, healthy, and ready to learn.

Support from North Club ($1,500) has enabled us to purchase sewing machines and materials, helping students in grades 6 through 9 acquire valuable tailoring skills. Watrous Rotary Club’s district grant of $3,700 funded a new granary, improving our food storage capacity.
A Water & Sanitation User Committee, consisting of nine members from the school and local community, has been established to oversee water-related projects. This committee, now registered with the District Water Resource Committee, ensures sustainable management and maintenance of our water resources.
